Getting about

Gare des Pas Enchantés

The population growth is such and journeys being inevitable, one finds oneself more and more on the roads. On foot, by bike, by BusWay or by tram-train ... all alternative modes are possible.

Yet there are solutions to ensure that everyone, in their own city and throughout the metropolis, finds their place. The Town Council's policy in coherence with that of Nantes Métropole is simple: to encourage all modes of transport and to extend the offer of alternative transport to the automobile throughout the town. On foot, by bike, by BusWay or by tram-train ... all alternative modes are possible.

On foot

The Town Council promotes so-called "soft" trips that are less polluting than cars:

  • Development of pedestrian malls such as the Gibraye;
  • Support for the development of "pedibus-vélobus" initiatives such as the Douet school (collective pedestrian or bike move).

By bike

Several cycle paths exist on the town. The Town Council wishes to encourage the practice of cycling, whether for riding or for journeys.

By bus

Several lines of bus serve our town and allow the Sebastiennans to move in the built-up areas: lines 27, 29 and 30.

By BusWay : line 4

A line connects the centre of Nantes to Vertou in less than 20 minutes. 15 stops are served, including two in Saint-Sébastien-sur-Loire at Joliverie and Chapeau Verni.

By tram-train

The Nantes-Clisson tram-train service has two stations on the town. It allows to reach Nantes city centre in less than 10 minutes.
